    Man Utd 2-1 Crystal Palace

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag complained about a lack of consistency from video assistant referees and insisted Casemiro was not the only player who should have been sent off during the win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

United's Brazilian midfielder will serve a three-match ban after he was red-carded by referee Andre Marriner, who was sent to the monitor to review a second-half melee triggered by a clash between United winger Antony and Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp.

United players reacted when Schlupp shoved Antony towards the perimeter boards, a move which Ten Hag said could have left his player "badly injured".

Southampton manager Nathan Jones says he has "let his players down" after their 3-0 defeat at Brentford, and got "carried away" because they are in the Premier League.

Saints are bottom of the table, three points from safety.

They have lost eight of their 13 matches since Jones was appointed in November.

"I want to be brutally honest with this, I have let the players down," Jones told BBC Match of the Day.

"I was recruited to do certain things and I don't see my team in there. I have pandered a little bit, I have gone away and tried to accommodate what we have.

"I haven't really put my own stamp on it and I should have by now, I really should have."

    West Ham United

West Ham managerDavid Moyes, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It’s a great point for us. Weplayed well today. I’m really pleased for the players.

"We could have buckled. This place at the moment, it's right on top of you. But we played well today and deserved to get back in the game. There are lots of pluses for us.

"There was a periodwhere we had two or three opportunities or moments where we could have got thesecond goal, but I was pleased with how we controlled the game at different times. Newcastle are playing verywell at the moment, but we did today as well.

"Thilo [Kehrer] felt his hamstring. Wewould have had more young players on the bench but they played in the Youth Cuplast night."

  10. 'We played brilliantly'

    FT: Newcastle 1-1 West Ham

Premier League: West Ham earn draw at Newcastle - reaction (2)

    West Ham United

West Ham managerDavid Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "We deserve some credit because we’ve notbeen playing so well. I thought we played very well today.

"[The opening goal] is reallydisappointing because we actually played very well in the first half. Thatfirst minute was more than expected, so we’ve only got ourselves to blame. We gotback in it [after the disallowed goal] then gave them a goal 20-30 seconds later.

"We respondedabsolutely fantastically. We played brilliantly well in the first half. Wepassed the ball well, we showed good control and had good opportunitiesourselves.

They’re a big, big side. They can put the ball on top of you when they don’t go round you. Nayef had a brilliant tackle. Part of your job is to defend well and we did defend well today.

"It keeps a little bit of a run going for us. A draw at Newcastle isn’t the worst result. We’d have liked to win but we’re up against a team who are in good form at the moment.

"I think our performance merited something from the game. If we play like that next week [against Chelsea] we’ll give ourselves a chance."

On Lucas Paqueta: "We’re reallypleased because we got him to get some goals. I think he showed some composurewhen the ball came to him at the back post. Hopefully he’ll come up with a fewmore goals."

Premier League: West Ham earn draw at Newcastle - reaction (3)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson: "Today was frustrating. The second half we had the majority of the ball, it was frustrating to let them back in."

On his goal: "As a striker you're itching to get on the scoresheet again. Unbelievable pass, there was only one thing on my mind."

On their performance: "We stopped doing the things which brought us success, losing 50/50 duels, not pressing so efficiently. Second half was better, but we couldn't break them down."

On if their performance dropped after the League Cup in midweek: "For us as a team we knew today would be difficult, we had to come out mentally in a positive place. When you've got a final looming over you, it is up to us to get crowd going again. We did that, but then tailed off."

  13. 'We didn't keep up our momentum'

    Newcastle 1-1 West Ham

Premier League: West Ham earn draw at Newcastle - reaction (4)

    Newcastle United

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe: "It was a tight game, very bright start, it was quite astrange opening. We didn't carry that on for the first half, second half was good but we couldn'tbreak them down.

"I don't think we werebad in the first half, but we didn't keep up our momentum. I don't think we stamped ourauthority on the game, they scored a poor goal from our high standards.

"In the second half we wanted to re-establish intensity. We did thatfor the majority of the half, we had possession and chances, but didn't take that chance."

On whether Newcastle missed Bruno Guimaraes today: "Undoubtedly, he's that difference makerwith an eye for a pass. He has creative flair we possibly missed today."

On Anthony Gordon's debut: "What he delivered was very bright, I'm reallypleased. I was hoping for a goal or assist, but overall verygood."

On four draws in five Premier League games: "Teams, when they play us now, it's a secondlook at us, teams will make it difficult for us. West Ham wanted a tight game, the onus was onus to break them down."

West Ham defender NayefAguerd to Sky Sports: "Before the game we knew Newcastle at home are very tough to play. I’mvery proud of the lads. It’s a massive point.

"When they scoredthe first goal we were very upset. We said at half-time, if we can’t win we cantake one point. The reaction from the lads was fantastic."

On his tackle onCallum Wilson: "It’s a little bit risky but I’m here to defend and help theteam. If I don’t tackle him I think he scores."

    FT: Newcastle 1-1 West Ham

Premier League: West Ham earn draw at Newcastle - reaction (6)

    West Ham United

"We dug in, ran oursocks off and had chances. You’re not always going to dominate the ball but weslowed the game down as much as we could and it’s a good point for us.

"I think that was the best warm-up we’ve had all season. The goal was schoolboystuff but we showed our personality. We could have had one or two but a point wasa fair result.

"I think the momentum’s starting to come back. The levels arestarting to rise again. We’ve got another big game next weekend [at home to Chelsea]. We want tokeep the momentum going. If we keep heading inthe right direction we’ll be fine."
